Derrick works as a Senior Services Care Navigator and HIV Health Counselor at the Shanti Project in San Francisco. He is a Council Member for the San Francisco EMA HIV Community Planning Council. He has been involved with most NIH-funded HIV research networks as a community member/advocate and representative for well over 20+ years.

 

He has been living with HIV since the mid-1990s.
