José Joaquín Mulinelli-Rodríguez is Executive Director of Coaí, Inc. in Puerto Rico. He graduated from the Business Administration Faculty at UPR - Rio Piedras Campus on 1990. He has participated in multiple collectives of community leaders, particularly focused to reduce the negative impact of the HIV epidemic in Puerto Rico and among Latino communities in the United States.

Since 1989 he has been a volunteer in the LGBTQIA+ communities in and outside of PR. He has been part of the Rainbow Pride Coalition, the Gay and Lesbian Puerto Rican Coalition, co-host for the radio program Saliendo del Closet, columnist for the newsletter PR Breeze, co-host for the internet program ReTorxid@s, the AIDS Foundation in PR, among other organizations.
